Teaching

Let’s Groove!

I began my professional training at the School of the Grand Rapids Ballet, was a Professional Trainee at the Joffrey Ballet School, and then danced with Joffrey Contemporary Ballet in NYC where I performed works by Sidra Bell, Julie Bour, Kevin Wynn, Alexander Proia, and many others. I went on to major in Musical Theater at Hope College where I danced with a modern dance company, dANCEpROjEct, and performed works by Steven Iannacone, Sharon Wong, Alicia Diaz, Matthew Farmer, and others. I am now a professional Musical Theater performing artist and just finished swinging the Broadway National Tour of Jesus Christ Superstar!

I am fortunate to carry with me a rich dance history of many styles passed down through world class teachers. I have taught in academic school settings, conservatory settings, community outreach settings, and professional settings such as MetroKids, Dance Molinari, Hope College, Upward Bound, and the School of the Grand Rapids Ballet. I am eager to share my love for dance!

I teach many styles of dance including Ballet, Jazz, Musical Theater Jazz, and Contemporary. My Jazz, MT, and Contemporary class format includes a warm up in the center, some across the floor work, and a choreographed movement phrase. My Ballet class includes classic barre work, center work, and across the floor work. My class is built on a solid establishment of technique and incorporation of style and musicality. Dance is about listening to and moving within the music. Let’s move together!

Upcoming Classes: Stay tuned!
